Last year I was fortunate to do a workshop with Hera Lindsay- Bird and June Perkins. They dispelled many preconceptions. This year I’ve done four open mikes at ‘Poets Up Late’ at Wynnum Library. And now my first published poem on Australian Children’s Poetry. And last year June published my ekphrasic poem on her site – honoured. Lovely refreshing advice yours. .
