Blaise van Hecke is a writer, photographer and artist. Blaise has had several short stories published over the last two years in Infusion, has been published in the anthology of short stories called Mud Puddles (May 08), and came second in the bi-annual short story competition with the Society of Women Writers of Victoria 2007, for her story The Eleventh Summer.

Her photographs have been used for book covers, CD covers and promotional literature. She also has sound knowledge of Computer graphic software, having produced technical illustrations for the Automotive Industry for the last 9 years.

Blaise enjoys writing and travel and hopes to publish a book that combines both.


Kev Howlett is an illustrator and photographer. He has spent 23 years in the commercial photographic industry taking photographs of everything from babies to electrical wires; Jati Furniture to Holden cars. Currently, Kev works on technical computer illustrations and freelance photography but his passion is creative illustration with his own style of cartoon-like images.

Kev also spends a lot of time taking photographs on his travels and plans to create a picture book for each city of the world.

Kev has had many of his photographs published in magazines and brochures and some of his cartoons in the 2008 calendar for the Snowden Mining Group.



Les Zigomanis has worked as a freelance editor for various publishers and authors. He has edited novels for Flat Chat Press; edited and provided manuscript assessments for Sid Harta Publishers; is an editor for [untitled], the Melbourne Writers' Magazine, and is on the editing council of Page Seventeen for their seventh issue.

He is also a writer of incredible versatility. He has had two screenplays optioned; and, in 2008, had two feature articles published in Leader Newspapers. He has also had articles and short stories published in various journals, and has copywritten for brochures and websites.






Robert Deskoski is a writer and webpage designer. Midway through 2007 he won a short competition that was published by the Northcote Leader, in an anthology entitled Around The Block. He helped collate, edit and design Hunting Tank Software's Combat Mission Campaigns instruction manual. He helped proof A.T. Davidson's short story collection Killing Time for NMIT's publishing arm, Flat Chat Press.

Robert has completed a degree in Computer Systems Engineering through La Trobe University. He has designed major business websites and personal homepages. His most recent project is for The Learning Team, a creative effort by Barry Carozzi and Karin Steinkrug, and is nearing completion.




Simon Vrantsis Simon Vrantsis considers himself a jack-of-all-trades and has never shied away from educating himself in diverse fields. His varied educational history includes Design, Animation, Writing, Editing and Software Development.

Simon worked in the Tennis Australia Website Team as Photo Assistant, editing photography for use on the Australian Open Tennis website.

In 2008, Simon had an article published in handle, Australia's Premier Basketball Publication, and contributed both design and editing work at NMIT's publishing arm, Flat Chat Press
